Lets make riches.
By the grace of God the world is a marketplace, we are sent in here to trade having been equipped with the resource of heaven. We have all been given different quantities of the same thing; depending on our ability, what we have to do. In other words what we have to do is responsible for the quantity of time that is given to us. It is said that to whom much is given, much is expected.
Some are given at birth 50 years, some 70 years, some 100 years and more. God gives everybody according to their abilities; according to the work they have to do for Him here on earth just as in the parables where the servants were given different quantities of the same thing. One was given five talents, the other two and the last, one according to their abilities, what they are capable of doing individually.
At birth we all received Time. Time is something that we all received when were coming to earth. Everyone of us big or small received the same thing in different measures.
If we have to check the average lifespan of a human being which is 70 years.

“The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.” -Psalms 90:10

Multiply 70 years by 365 days and you have 25,550 days. In other words every man came in with 25,550 days. Only? Multiplied further by 24 hours, we have 613,200 days. Only! However some received, just like in the parable, more and others less, according to the work we have to do for the Lord here on earth; according to the various responsibilities that God has sent us with here on earth.
No individual person, no one person came into the world with money or with cars or houses or clothes or gold or silver. No! We all came in naked with nothing at all whatsoever.
The only thing you brought into this world is TIME! And God expects you to exchange time for your basic need. Time is the money that followed you into this world, time is your greatest investment. When companies or institutions engage you what they take from you is part of your time. No company or individual is rich enough to engage ALL your time; they can only have part of your time and in exchange they give you some money: termed salary or payment.
How rich you are depends, not on how hard you work or how long you work, but on what you do with your time.

“I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.” – Ecclesiastes 9:11

For a lack of understanding many are wasting this resource, they are burying it! Just like the last man in the parable dug the ground and buried his talent, so many because of ignorance are literally digging the ground and burying the time that God gave to them to invest!

This is the basic difference between the rich and the poor. The ability to turn or translate Time to riches. Many are burying their Time.
But we are expected to manage our time.

Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” – Ephesians 5:16

To redeem means to buy back, to exchange or put value on something that you need back earnestly. With various distractions, the enemy has stolen our money -Time! Today, we have the phones, internet, social media and all, eating up our time! We need to redeem it!
Like the servants in the parable who gave account of the talents received , we would give account of Time because this is Heaven’s resource given to us before we came to this world. Does what was done justify the time used? How relevant is that thing in relation to the time spent on it? Idle words eat up time! You will give account of idle words because you have wasted heaven’s resource!
What makes a word idle if not the non- justification of the Time spent on it!

There are only three ways to spend time. No matter who you are or what you do your time is spent on these three things.

(1) Thought. Watch your thought and its direction.

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” – Philippians 4:8

(2) Word. Watch what you say. Would it build or edify others?

“But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.” – Matthew 12:36

(3) Deed. Watch what you do and be careful not to walk in the counsel of the ungodly, or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of the scornful!

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.” – Psalms 1:1

And it shall be well with you in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.

HIS WAY

“For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.” – Romans 11:36 (NIV)

The Christian life is not an easy one especially with the enemy, the devil, telling us God has abandoned us. And that we cannot achieve whatsoever we have planned.
We need to realize that God has not abandoned us, and that yes, we cannot of our own do anything. He keeps His promises forever. One of which is that He would never leave us nor forsake us. (Hebrew 13:5)
By His presence, He gives us the power to do what He wants to do. The ability to do a good thing or achieve anything does not reside in us but in Him! He manifests this power in and through us. He gives strength to the weak; empowering us by His Spirit to do all things. We are His instruments, His weapons of war.

“Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms.” – Jeremiah 51:20

He is the one doing the work, we are only instruments! The plan of what to do, the power to do the work and the wisdom of how best to do the work are His! We should like weapons in our hands, respond to His leading and do all things HIS WAY! We should follow His leading, His method.

True, Adam named and defined all of creation, but God was there, interested and perhaps communicating!
Moses was asked to build to specification. Crazy, old King Saul did not and was rejected. Ezekiel made dry bones come to life! He followed God’s method. Barnabas and Paul went on missionary work. They followed God’s Way.
Success, in every endeavour, is doing things God’s way.

” The steps of the good man are directed and  established by the Lord
when He delights in his way and He busies Himself with his every step.
Though he falls,  he shall not be utterly cast down, for the Lord
grasps his hand in support and upholds him.”  – Psalm 37:32 (AMP)

Mistakes happen in life. It happens  with the big and the small, the
super-rich and the raggedy poor. It happens with the prayerful and the
prayer less. It happens with  everyone.
It is a major reason people do not  bear fruit, sustain what fruit
they  bear and have no result to show for their efforts. Many of us
have made mistakes and rather than move on  ahead have remained there
whining, complaining, blaming  other people and better still,  blaming
ourselves.
What is mistake? To miss taking  a thing; a result of carelessness or
misunderstanding: failing to hold  with the hands or the legs, failing
to hold or comprehend with the  reasoning. Mistakes lead to failure.
As God orders the steps of the  good man. It is expected that he  will
not stumble. But the bible  makes it clear that he can and will
stumble. And this is because he  can always hold or comprehend  what
God is leading him through.
Beloved, God knows you can fall  and make mistakes. Don’t crucify
yourself because you made one. It  only proves you are flesh and
blood. “And the LORD said, My  spirit will not always strive with
man, for he also is flesh: yet his  days shall be an hundred and
twenty years.” (Genesis 6:3)
“Flesh” will always make mistakes.  God knows this and even
acknowledged ” For a just man  falleth seven times and riseth up
again.” Proverbs 24:16a God knows you will fall again and again.
Perfect, “seven times”, almost without redemption fall. So why do  you
condemn yourself?
God is not counting that against  you, rather His hand is stretched
out to you, to uphold you and pull  you up from the fall, pull you up
from failure, pull you up and out of  decay, if you will reach up to
take  His hand. “For the Lord grasps his  hand to support and uphold
him.” He will only hold it against you  when you refuse to “rise up”
to His  prompting.
Even those that walked with Jesus  made mistakes. One of them was
Peter who denied Jesus three  times. (John 18 :27) Even at that Jesus
did not condemn, criticize or destroy him. Instead He reinstated him.
Three times Peter denied Him  and three times He reinstated him. “Feed
my lambs…. Feed my  sheep….Feed my sheep.” ( John  21:15-17)
There is something ahead of you,  get up and face it! Lift up your
limp  hands, strengthen your legs, pull  yourself up and start all
over again! You can’t win if you quit! There is  so much for you to
live for. God has not written you off and don’t dare  write yourself
off! You made a  mistake and fell. So what? You are  not the first
neither would you be the last! Only be more careful  henceforth.
Watch where you go, what words you speak and how you interpret what you hear.
You can’t fail.

“Judge not, that ye be not judged.” (Matthew 7:1)

Have you ever disagreed with somebody? You have judged! Simply put judging others is saying “you’re wrong and I’m right!”.
Considering then that we disagree with people everyday and in various matters, we judge!
There is a HUGE misinterpretation and misrepresentation of what the Lord said. He was not saying you should not judge people or discriminate between their character, beliefs, and doings as against yours, because we can never be the same! You and I can never agree on every point. Even in a home or marriage, the husband and wife do not always agree, nor do the children agree with all their parents believe. This misunderstanding is the main instrument of “asunder”, separation and divorce.
No, that was not what the Lord meant!
When the Lord said “judge not”, HE simply meant we not using our personal or individual standard to judge others! Note that He was quick to add:

“For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and the measure which ye give, shall be measured to you again.” (Matthew 7:2).

When you disagree with people on the basis of your personal standard, they will also disagree with you! Imagine a man standing on the ceiling of a house – upside down. While people tell him he is upside down, he argues that everyone, not him, is upside down! Such arguments do not end because everyone sees from their personal standard!
In other words, the Lord is saying ”do not use your personal, or individual standard to judge or measure others!” Why? We are imperfect beings and our judgment would be wrong! The verse three of that scripture reminds me of my imperfection:

“And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thy own eye?” (Matthew 7:3).

So does that mean we do not judge others? No. That would be deadly dangerous as we would accommodate and even emulate all kinds of evil. Because for me to be accepted by you even in my imperfection, I shut my eyes and applaud your evil deeds!?
And everyone would do what is right in their own eyes, giving birth to a lawless society as recorded in the book of Judges.

“In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.” (Judges 21:25).

A lack or absence of a King made people do what they liked! I wouldn’t want you to judge me so I refrain from judging you!
That sounds so much as “don’t judge others”, which we hear of today!
But, thanks be to God, the King is on the throne! Haleluyah!! His Word, not mine, not yours, is our Standard of judgment! His Word, not mine, not yours, holds sway! His Standard, not mine, not yours, should be lifted and upheld! His standard is “righteousness”, which neither you nor I can produce. Husbands, wives, do not judge yourselves with your individual standard. Stick to yor individual standard and you create an “asunder”. Judge only by the Standard of the Lord. What has He said? Do not twist, bend, modify or modernize it! This is His Kingdom!
Yes, beloved, we are permitted to judge!

“And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and JUDGE RIGHTEOUSLY between every man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him.” (Deuteronomy 1:16).

In Christ, we are Kings and the admonition to kings is to judge righteously!

“Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.” (Proverbs 31:9).

In Christ, we are spiritual. We have the mind of the King! We know His Word and by His Word we judge!

“But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged by no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But WE have the mind of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 2:15-16).

Our judgment, however is to be based on His Standard.
Love cover sins but does not accept them. My judgment of you is not based on my individual standard but on the standard of my King! I love you; but, I am forbidden to accept you! My King’s Standard will not permit me to accept you; I love you nonetheless. My King loves the everyone (John 3:16), but has not accepted them all. He has a condition:

“…..touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you;” (2 Corinthians 6:17).

The “unclean” thing is your standard that you have refused to drop! He loves you and wants to receive you. But you need to drop, deny your individual Will or standard, take up His standard and let His Will be done!
