Manufacturers have reasons why they produce their goods, one of which is for the products to meet some need or serve some purpose in the lives of the consumers.

At creation, God spoke His mind for the creation of man stating the purpose for his existence.

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” – Genesis 1:26-28 (KJV)

You are a creation of God. That means you were created to serve or meet some need: to oversee His business, the works of His hand. Jesus said, “occupy till I come.”

For this God gave you four qualities of power:

  • Dominion – This is the ability or authority to rule.
  • Multiply – This means to procreate and increase in numerically.
  • Replenish – This is the ability to restore or refill what has been emptied or taken away.
  • Subdue – This is to use force to bring something(s) under.

Of all the four, only one talks of opposition or resistance – “subdue”, not even in “dominion” do we have contention. There was no contention or opposition from the birds of the air, the animals in the field or the fish in the water before the fall of Adam because God set or made it so; and His word, which upholds all things, cannot be broken, even today.

However to “subdue” suggests opposition. You subdue a thing that refuses to surrender. So winning comes after there has been a contention or resistance. Resistance from where? Darkness!

“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” – Genesis 1:2 (KJV)

The powers of darkness and their weapons: death, fear, anger, sickness, lust, pride, poverty, failure, etc., are things that are constantly opposing the children of God. God knew about the “darkness”, so He put this quality of power in Man.

“Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places.” – Ephesians 1:20 (KJV)

This is the power to fight, to conquer and bring under control, so that dominion will continue in God’s behalf. That is why He said to Jeremiah that “before I formed you in the womb, I knew you and ordained you a prophet …” (Jeremiah 1:5), and why? “They will fight you.” (Vs: 18)

The king and prince of lack will fight you!

The king and prince of poverty will fight you!

The king and prince of anger will fight you!

The king and prince of lust will fight you!

The king and prince of pride will fight you!

The king and prince of sickness will fight you!

The king and prince of failure will fight you!

All these kings, their princes and more, will fight you but shall not succeed! You are more than a conqueror! You are a winner; for none of their weapons formed against you shall prosper! There is power in you to condemn their tongue. There is power in you to nullify their words of evil! You are created to win and quench every opposition!

“I have set thee for a tower and a fortress among my people, that thou mayest know and try their way.” – Jeremiah 6:27 (KJV)

God said, He – not man – has set – authoritatively fixed you for a tower – large and domineering – and fortress – a fortified and impenetrable being; created to try – judge and pass verdict on these agents of evil and their weapons!!!

winner (2)

You are God’s weapon of war! He has made you a sharp threshing instrument, and as a warrior would wield his weapon, God wields you against the enemy and his weapons! You are created to win!

“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.” – Isaiah 54:17 (KJV)

This is the heritage – a law, right or title you inherited from God. What is this heritage? The winning, all-conquering power!

But there are conditions!

  • You have to be an original! Before the fall of Adam, he had a nature that was original. It was this nature that was given the power to subdue. It is the nature of being in the image and likeness of God.
  • You have to remain in God’s will and desire. Be chaste! Run from sin and not eat the forbidden fruit! Strive to live in obedience!
  • Overcome the fear that is holding you back! Adam did not know fear before his fall.
  • Start the fight! By courageously affirming your faith and standing on the word of God, you attract the enemy to yourself, giving God an opportunity to glorify His Name! The three Hebrew trio of Shedrack, Meshach, and Abednego refused to compromise and were noted. Samson moved against the Philistines; this was of God, Who sought an occasion against them. Daniel refused to compromise and attracted the forces of evil to himself. In all God was glorified! Refuse to compromise, let the enemy take note of you, and let God be glorified!
  • Seek knowledge! Adam did not really know the Truth; if he did he would not have doubted and fallen to the enemy. You have his history, in the Bible. Learn from his mistakes and study the life of the last Adam, Who against all odds stood with God and won.

You are created a winner; an ENVOY OF POWER!

Every meeting must have a place of meeting. Meeting with the King is always held around the throne. Consequently, meeting with God, the King of Creation must be around His Throne.

“And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.” – Revelation 4:6 (KJV)

“In front of the throne was something like a sea of glass as clear as crystal. In the center of the throne and on each side of the throne were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back.” – ISV

A transparent and clear place is seen “before” – in front – of God’s Throne!
That is the place of meeting! A place we all, the redeemed or ransomed of the Lord shall eventually be after the rapture; worshipping our God when Jesus would have taken us to the Father as His harvest from the Earth! We, His ministers (flames of fire – Psalm 104:4) will stand on this pure place singing the song of victory, Hallelujah!

“And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.” – Revelation 15:2 (KJV)

“Mingled with fire”, the victorious children of God stand here after the rapture!
That is why Jesus said it is not a place on the earth, “neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem”, but in spirit! – John 4:21

It is a place no unclean thing can enter!

“And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there.” – Isaiah 35:8-9 (KJV)

Nothing evil, nothing polluted, nothing of darkness can go up there! That is why we need to deal with or clean up the “dross” in our lives. In the Psalms, it is called the hill of the Lord.

“Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.” – Psalm 24:3-4 (KJV)

wp-image-900257076

Only the pure-hearted, clean hands and simple souls, called “fools”, shall go up there; a people without guile in their mouth.

“And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.” – Revelation 14:5 (KJV)

That is the true place of worship: the true place of meeting; the place we meet with the Father. Every true Child of God, irrespective of denomination, temporarily goes there, in spirit, during worship! Jesus asked for this and the Father obliged Him.

“Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.” – John 17:24 (KJV)

This is also how we are seated with Christ in heavenly places, though we are still on earth!

Beloved, how clean are your hands, your heart and how simple is your soul? These are the combination keys that unlock the place of meeting. Let us search ourselves and get rid of whatever pollutes and whatever makes offence if we really desire fellowship with the Father.

“Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.” – James 1:21 (KJV)

The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.” (Proverbs 12:24).

Success in whatever you have chosen to do, does not come without a price. Nothing in life is free! Even Salvation cost God and Jesus something.
How much are you willing to pay for success?

You have to be willing and obedient to eat the fruit of the land.

“If ye are willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:” (Isaiah 1:19).

Success is expensive and if you want it, you have to pay for it!
The price to pay for success is nothing but a resolute determination.

A mountainous determination to succeed is the price to pay. A strong desire to counter disgrace poverty, failure, misfortune, etc, must be put in motion day and night; in thought and in deed.

A resolute determination is a mixture of desire and expectation.
I read a story of people engaged in a week long prayer asking for rain. On the last day of the programme the Minister suddenly realized that not a single person, including himself, came with an umbrella all through the days of the programme. There was no burning desire!
It takes a desperate desire to succeed!

“He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.” (Proverbs 10:4).

Diligence means hard work. A person who works hard is a diligent person. Laziness, idleness, is not tolerated by a diligent person.

Poverty, like a vagabond, stalks everyone.

It takes diligence, hard work, to keep it at bay.
A diligent person does not need “motivation” to work! Joseph was diligent in the house of Portipher; he did every available and undone work that came to his attention. He needed no external motivation to work. His motivation was from inside. A diligent person works for himself, even if employed. He works almost round the clock, consumed with the passion of the work.

A diligent person places value on the work and derives satisfaction when work is done and done excellently; this fulfillment, the satisfaction that follows a work well done is what he values more than the financial reward.
May we learn to look beyond financial reward and see the worth of the inner reward; a thing money cannot buy!

One major reason we go to school, go for on-the-job courses, seminars, conferences and trainings is to get to the top in our jobs, in society and in life. We all work to be promoted!

We desire to be taken beyond our present level to a higher one.

To be divinely promoted is to be “taken” beyond one’s present level to a higher one without the promotion being worked for. To be “made” to enter a higher office in power and dignity, even without merit.

“And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” – Ephesians 2:6

In Paul’s time the Ephesians Church was a faith-full Church. They loved the Word and lived it! Paul did not correct them of any particular error or heresy.
He wrote to give them details of what Christ’s resurrection did for the Church.

Paul starts by telling them and everyone of us, that blessings have been made (Ephesians 1:3), and are in heavenly places.
He talked about their eyes of understanding being opened, and of the height to which Jesus has been elevated; raised. Above powers and dominions.

In chapter two, he tells every sincere child of God that we have been raised up, exalted, lifted up: divinely promoted! Not by our work, neither a thing we obtained by merit. This is all a divine gift! Promotion is not a result of man’s labour but of God’s grace. We are not asking to be promoted, raised or lifted. We are already.

This is how we were made the head and not the tail. We are at the top and not the bottom! We are above and not beneath!
We have been raised in all things! All that happen to us physically come through the spirit realm. Being lifted in the spirit means we have been lifted in all things!

We need to know the gift of resurrection! We need to know what He did at death. At resurrection He raised us up.
We are no more at the lowly place! No more in the dust! No more with  the losers!

The price has been paid, the work has been done so that we might be above: far above all principality and power and might and dominion! (Ephesians 1:18-21). Hallelujah!

When an aircraft meets rain and its destination is still far, the Pilot would climb higher, above the cloud. Meanwhile everything under the cloud will be beaten by the rain.
Principalities, powers, might and dominion; the powers of darkness, produce the rain of poverty, barrenness, sickness, failure, affliction, etc.
Since we are above the powers that create the evil rain, we are above the evil things they create!
But…….

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” – Hosea 4:6

Many are still praying for upliftment! Still praying that God would promote them.

No one prays to be made a man or a woman. We are already what God fashioned us to be. We are born with every features needed to be male or female.
All that you would need as a gender: male or female has been provided. All you need is to eat the right food, do the right things and as you mature, all the features given you develop and become visible!
image

In Christ, you have been promoted. When you eat the right spiritual food, and do the right things, you grow into the exalted position that has always been yours in Christ!

“If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.” – Isaiah 1:19

Two things stand out in that scripture.
(1) Willingness, and
(2) Obedience.

These actions are propelled by the Word.
You will have to locate the mind or plan of God written in His word, agree with Him, whether you understand it or not. And, .. do!

Daniel was a slave in a foreign land. But overtime he rose to the position of leadership; even offered to be third ruler in the land.
How did he do it?
He did not scheme to be promoted nor was he ambitious to attain the height. He lived to please God in everything by maintaining his stand on the Word of God. He may not have understood everything, yet he accepted it, agreed with it whole heartedly. He did not try to rationalize or bend it to favour himself.
So did Joseph, who believed the Word of God, trusted it and refused the substitute offered by Portipher’s wife. Again he was not ambitious to be promoted. Rather than accept her suggestion, he fled, acting on what he believed. He proved that pleasing God and seeking after His Kingdom brings promotion.

What about Caleb and Joshua? They heard the Word of God like other spies, saw the giants, but refused what their eyes suggested to them. They held on to what God said, certainly not knowing how victory would come, but believed it shall come; for faithful is He that promised! When others were crying and pulling back, they were itching to move on, not out of ambition, but with the plan of God; His Word. They stood and did what He said and consequently entered the next level.

So did the three Hebrew children: Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. They defied fear, thoroughly convinced that God would save them. They rejected every other word that suggested deliverance. They knew they already had deliverance! They acted on the Word of God they believed and saw the fourth man; even the Son of God, and were made to defy fire made seven times hotter! They certainly entered a higher realm and their promotion followed immediately.

So did countless others. All attained promotion and exalted positions.
These may be from the Old Testament, the principles of God remain the same, from generation to generation. The methods of God may differ, yet His principles are unchanging.
image

Man fell because he was ambitiously seeking something he already had. He was already divinely promoted. Adam was god over all of God’s creation. All things were placed under him. That is why the Psalmist asked:

“What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?……Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet.” – Psalm 8:4,6

This is the eternal purpose of God, that Man be promoted. Adam was promoted by the Father, but because of ignorance of the Father’s plan, he tried working his promotion and consequently lost his position.

Most often we want to see how God’s Word would benefit us before we get involved with it, and drop it when it looks hurtful.
This was the undoing of those who died in the wilderness, who cried and refused to obey the Word, choosing to go back to Egypt. They were not willing to accept the Word as it is and so were not promoted to the next level.

It is not just what we do!
Is our willingness, our heart in it? What is the inspiration propelling us to do, or not to do?
We should not be like Thomas who wants first to see before he would believe.

Blind faith?
Yes; to the threatening situations around us. Beloved, change the way you think, lift up your eyes and see what the natural senses cannot see: what God has ordained and settled. For beyond what your eyes can see, beyond what your ears can hear, beyond what your nose perceives, beyond what you feel and taste, lies the Truth: what God has purposed.
Yes, there lies your promotion!

We all aspire for greatness and higher heights, even goats do!
But only God can give promotion!
